Blog posts: Option to set a background color for the section#272

Currently the background of the excerpt within the blog post section is unable to be changed independantly of the main website background colour, which means the blog post excerpt overlapping the feature image looks like a mistake as the background blends into the background. It would be great to be able to change this background independantly.
