Buttons: Ability to allow section buttons open link in new tab (e.g: Slideshow section button)#344

I’d love to have a checkbox option to open links in a new tab.

We will want some clarification on this one as Shopify does offer this feature internally depending on where the link is in the theme. Can you let us know some examples of where these links are located (sections/blocks/features), So we have a better idea of is this is doable or not?

Would love this option as well. At the moment, if you assign an external link to a button, the link will open in the same window/tab, not in a new window/tab, which takes users away from the website and doesn’t provide a great user experience.
We are using a button to link to an external landing page and would love for the option to have that page open in a new tab.
