Products: Increase the variant limit from 250 to 2048#439

Shopify has provided themes a path to upgrade the variant limit to 2048 variants, from the current Liquid limit of 250 variants.

Since this is an upgrade that can significantly impact Product loading (and isn’t guaranteed to be compatible with all apps or product features), we’d like to evaluate how many of our users want to see this increase.

Currently, large amounts of variants can be addressed with Sibling product swatches, which we believe to be a cleaner, easier-to-shop way of presenting a lot of options to the customer. But what would a suggestion board be if not for collecting your thoughts? Please vote for this feature if it’s something you need.
